The educational tablet: an introduction to the shift towards implementing the electronic school in Egypt in light of some international models

The present study sought to students` perspectives concerning the educational tablet and the possibility of using it as approach to the application of e-school have been surveyed in order to put a proposed perspective about the application of e- school in the light of some international models. The researchers used the descriptive approach as it suits the study. The tool of the study is a survey ( prepared by the researchers) applied on a sample consisting of 306 male and female students in 1st grade secondary school in a public school in the Governorates of Qena and South of Sinai in the years 2018-2019. Results of the field study showed several positive advantages that distinguish the Educational Tablet including: putting an end to the burden of carrying the school bag, its various benefits such as browsing and acquiring knowledge, and communication between classmates and teachers, the necessity of making use of the experiment of the educational tablet, and considering it a real start in the way of applying e- school. Also, the necessary funding for the requirements and needs of e-school should be provided and training students on the use of tablet before the beginning of the academic year should be done. In view of the previous results, the current study laid down a proposed perspective on the application of the e- School in the light of benefiting from world examples.
