In 2019, the Scientific Journal of Financial and Commercial Studies and Research (SJFCSR) was established, the first issue of it will be published in January 2020. The SJFCSR is a refereed scientific journal concerned with publishing original research written in Arabic and English, as well as book reviews, abstracts of theses and scientific reports in any field related to financial and business sciences, including: financial accounting, cost accounting, auditing, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Managerial Decision Making, Finance Management, Human Resource Management, International Management, Global Comparative Management, Operations Research in Management, Economics, Public Finance, Comparative Tax Systems, Strategic Management, Environmental Management, TQM, And stock markets, Statistical Applications in Commercial Science, Mathematics of Insurance, Portfolio Analysis, and Risk Management.
SJFCSR welcomes the publication of manuscripts that will develop theories, test and enrich financial and business practices, and give priority to research that provides scientific and practical solutions to the financial and administrative problems faced by organizations. The SJFCSR is characterized by a broad base of reviewers working in various Egyptian and Arab universities. This has had a great impact in enriching the process of reviewing the journal's researches, and working to promote scientific research and develop research efficiency to serve the researcher on one hand, and raise the level of research published in the SJFCSR on the other hand.
The SJFCSR will be published every six months (January and July) and is aimed at professionals in accounting, management, economics, statistics and insurance from academics, practitioners and decision makers.
2. Publishing Rules:
2.1 Publishing Policy
The SJFCSR is concerned with publishing original researches written in Arabic and English, as well as book reviews, abstracts of theses and scientific reports in any field related to financial and commercial sciences. The SJFCSR gives priority to research that provides scientific and practical solutions to the administrative; accounting and economic problems faced by organizations.
The decision to accept papers submitted for publication is based on the recommendation of the editorial board and the reviewers; the papers are blind reviewed. The reviewers accept the manuscript according to its relevance to the field of knowledge, the scientific and practical value of its results, the originality of its idea and its subject, the accuracy of the literature related to the subject of the manuscript and its comprehensiveness, in addition to the accuracy of the scientific method used in the study, and the relevance of the data and the integrity of the method of analysis.
In addition, the acceptance decision on the manuscript depends on the accuracy, comprehensiveness and interpretation of the final results of the research hypotheses, and the integrity of the presentation method in terms of formulation of ideas and language of research and the clarity of tables and figures, the accuracy of conclusions, recommendations and other criteria that ensure that the research is in the field of knowledge relevant to the journal. The editorial board is conducting an initial evaluation of the submitted research as soon as it arrives. If the research is not suitable for publication, the journal will notify the researcher. As for accepting research, it is sent to two reviewers for confidential evaluation, and the researcher shall be notified as soon as reviewing report received. The editorial staff make the necessary effort to complete the reviewing process and reach to an acceptance decision in short time as possible.
2.2 Research delivery rules
- The researcher submits 3 copies of the manuscript printed on white A4 size paper on one side of the paper including tables, charts, illustrations and equations. Or sending a soft copy on sjfcsr@du.edu.eg.
- The researcher submits a letter accompanying the research stating that the research has not been published before, and has not been submitted for publication to another journal, and that it will not be submitted for publication to another party only after the completion of the reviewing procedures.
- The first page of the research should contain the title, the name of the researcher (s), the destination of work, specialization, address, telephone number, and fax number (if any). To ensure complete confidentiality of the reviewing process, the name of the researcher (s) should not be included in the research, or any indications revealing their identity.
- The manuscript should be written in a clear and focused Arabic or English language in a neutral scientific manner in double space with Simplified Arabic font size 13 for Arabic research, Times New Roman size 13 for English research, with the distance between paragraphs (zero) from the top and bottom. The manuscript must contain between (8000 - 10000) words, including references, margins, tables, figures and appendices. In addition to, the key words should not exceed (6) words.
- . If the researcher uses a questionnaire or other data collection tools, he should provide a complete copy of that tool if it is not included in the manuscript or its appendixes.
- The researcher (s) should make sure that the draft of the manuscript is correct from any spelling or grammatical errors before submitting it to the journal.
- manuscripts that do not comply with the published rules shall be returned to the authors for reorganization.
- Researches are accepted for publication in the Journal after being approved by the reviewers. The researcher shall be notified of this acceptance in writing form within two months from the date of receipt of the research.
- The researcher should take in his consideration the ethics of scientific research when preparing his manuscript. He should keep with a good social values and norms in his manuscript. The responsibility and accuracy of the information and data contained in the articles of the journal lie on the author only. These opinions do not necessarily reflect the college or the editorial board of the journal.
- The researcher should take into his consideration the scientific principles recognized in the preparation and writing of scientific researches, the documentation of reference and referring to sources, especially the following:
- A total of 750 (only seven hundred and fifty) words are quoted from each source are not translated.
- If the quoted words from the source exceeds 750 words, this requires taking a written consent of the original publisher (author) and it should be enclosed in the appendices.
- The quoted text must be verbally identical to the original text, and be enclosed in quotation marks "...." if the quoted text less than forty words and placed in a distinctive line separated from the text by two lines if it exceeds forty words in the original text.
- The content of the ideas cited from sources and reformulated by the researcher must match the content of the ideas in the original text.
- In case of the quote, the name of the researcher, the year of publication and the page number from which the source was quoted should be mentioned in the reference list.
3. Formal requirements:
3.1 Research numbering
All pages are given serial numbers, including pages containing tables, figures, appendices, and references. The research parts or sub-headings should not be numbered.
3.2 Research summary
A summary of the research should not more than 500 words and attached to the manuscript on a separate page before the original text. The title of the research should be written on the abstract page and the first page of the research without mentioning the name of the author or any information about him.
3.3 Tables and figures
Tables and figures should be printed on a separate page and each table or figure should be numbered with a title above the table or below the figure indicating its content.
3.4 Quotations and references
Margins are not used for the purpose of referring to references cited by the researcher, but should refer to any reference by mentioning the author's name and year of publication in parentheses, as follows:
- For one or two authors: (Mansouri, 2019), (Ryan and Al-Kholi, 2018; (Adams, 2017) , (Rose & Anastasio, (2019).
- In case of specific reference: (Quality, 2019: 72), (Kotler, 2018: 230).
- In the case of more than two authors (Al-Kerdawi et al., 2020), (Sherry et al, 2016).
- If there is more than one reference for the same author: Ewis, 2016, 2018).
4- References:
References are placed on separate pages under the heading References at the end of the research. All Arabic references are arranged at the end of the research in alphabetical order. The first name of the author, then the middle, and the last name (family name) should be mentioned. The publication date should be placed immediately after the author's name (s) in parentheses, then the title of the article, the name of the journal, the volume number, and the number (in parentheses). As for foreign references, the title (last name) of the author and the first letter of the first and second name shall be followed in capital letters. The date of publication should be placed immediately after the author (s) name in parentheses, then the title of the article, periodical name, volume number, and number (in parentheses), then article page numbers.
The list of references should not contain any reference that is not referenced in the research. The names of the periodicals referred to in the research should be given in full, without abbreviation. In the case of multiple works referred to by the author himself, they are arranged in the list of references according to the sequence of publication dates. The information on references is arranged as follows:

5- Footnotes
It is preferable to minimize the use of footnotes if their contents can be included in the research. Footnotes are printed in two spaces between lines, numbered sequentially as they appear in the search, on separate sheets, and placed at the end of the search, before the list of references.
6- About the author (s)
A research summary of each author should provide within a maximum of 50 words showing the last scientific degree obtained, the name of the university from which he received the degree and year, current job, the institution or body or university he works for and the main areas of research interests.
7- Book reviews
The SJFCSR publishes book reviews from recent publications related to researchers and practitioners of management in the Arab world.
8- Summary of thesis
The SJFCSR publishes abstracts of theses (doctoral and master's theses) already approved, related to the fields of financial and commercial knowledge and related fields. The abstract is prepared by the author of the thesis.
9- Conferences Reports
The SJFCSR welcomes the publication of brief reports on recent conferences, symposia and seminars that their topics of which relate to one or more of the journal's areas of interest.
10- public Rules
- All copyright is vested in the SJFCSR.
- A copy of SJFCSR is provided free of charge to each author of published research and is provided with five extracts of it.
- The material contained in the published research reflects the views of the authors, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the journal.
- Correspondence related to research should be addressed to the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Financial and Commercial Studies and Research.
